Artsea - Supercell EP

After a short hiatus to welcome a new member to his family, Artsea has returned with a playful, uplifting, and soulful 4-track EP to celebrate a new season.

Title track ‘Supercell’ masterfully presents the nuance and uniqueness of Artsea’s solidifying sound. Starting with dreamlike melodies and moving into a playful glissando-touched synth, Artsea’s vocals soon present themselves to whisper his inward thoughts and murmurs on the complexities of relationships.

Continuing our journey deep into nostalgic territory, ‘Gel Balls’ takes us deeper into the void. Pianos, bells, shimmering drums, and Artsea’s classic hefty basslines all combine to paint a beautiful picture of tranquility and life.

Next up, ‘War & Peace’ sees juxtaposed elements push up against each other to create the tension this track’s title reflects. Moving pianos, chimes, and brass provide tones of peace and life, while heartfelt and dissonant vocals inject depth and sobriety into this musical medley.

‘Angel Groove’ is a perfect EP finale. Incorporating the previous tracks soulful elements, plus the addition of percussion-infused drums and a driving bassline, an uplifting experience of resolve and resolution has been created. Here, birds sing and angels groove to the art of Artsea.
